Delete your Stay Focused account

You can delete your Stay Focused account and all of its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open Stay Focused on your device.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the Account group.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm. You may be asked to sign in with Google again to prove it's you.

Your account and all of your data are removed immediately. You'll be signed out.

Option 2 — Delete via email

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email us from the Google address tied to your Stay Focused account:

  • To: basheer20599@gmail.com
  • Subject: Delete my Stay Focused account
  • Body: Please include the email address of the account you want deleted.

We verify your identity against the email you send from and delete your account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (display name, email, profile photo URL, preferences)
  • All tasks
  • All deadlines
  • All distractions you logged
  • All notes
  • All focus (Pomodoro) sessions and analytics
  • All generated AI insights and weekly recaps
  • Your notification preferences and device tokens
  • Your Firebase Authentication user record

What may be retained

  • Anonymized, aggregated usage metrics that cannot be linked back to you.
  • Records we are legally required to retain (for example, in response to a valid court order).
  • Encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten.
